Nigerian International Ikechukwu Uche who has spent most of his professional career in Spain, is a year older today.

1. Born in Aba, Abia, Uche’s career began in his country with Amanze United and Iwuanyanwu Nationale before moving Europe (Spain) where he spent 13 years.

2. He won the Pichichi Trophy in the Segunda Division in 2005-2006 after his 12 goals (five brace) helped Recreativo to gain promotion into the La Liga as champions after a three-year absence.

3. He was part of the winning Africa Cup of Nations team in 2013 and has scored 19 goals in 46 appearances for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

4. After breaking up with popular Nigerian Actress Uche Jumbo after 10 years, Ikechukwu Uche was rumoured to be in love with Ruth Okoro in 2012, the Ex-wife of Ini Edo’s husband.

5. Ikechukwu Uche ended his long spell in Spain after he joined Mexican side UANL Tigres. In his first season at the club, he won the Mexican league title with his side UANL Tigres.
