Several memes and vines depicting the moment have since gone viral.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the actor disclosed he had no idea it was trending. In his own words: “Oh lord — that’s trending, huh? I just didn’t know what was passing me — that’s all!”
Leo also picked up an award for the film, “The Revenant”. Commenting on his award, he said: “This is a type of film that you won’t see coming out of the Hollywood studio system very often. It’s an epic art film and I’m just so happy it got recognized tonight.”
