Governor Nasir El-Rufai |
The governor, who spoke in a Hausa radio programme, noted that most of the agitators are Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) elements, who had decamped to APC in order to contest for elections.
It will be recalled that some APC chieftains from the Kaduna State chapter, had petitioned the national secretariat, asking it to compel the party to fill the positions that became vacant following the elevation of some party members to appointive and elective positions.
Specifically, they had cited Arch Barnabas Bala Bantext, who doubles as the party’s chairman and
Deputy Governor of Kaduna State as well as Alhaji Bashir Saidu, who is both secretary of the party and Commissioner of Local Government, including 11 other party officers at both state and federal levels.
Shedding light on the issue during the radio programme, El Rufai noted that the so called vacant positions have been filled by the deputies in acting capacities.
