Barely three weeks after their return from overseas training in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States of America, members of Delta State House of Assembly have passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
They also slammed a three-month suspension on two ranking members over alleged desecration of the House.
The lawmakers, on resumption after the six weeks break, in a motion brought under matters of urgent public importance by the member representing Uvwie constituency, Mr Efe Ofobruku commended the governor for his good works.
The House in the motion seconded by the member representing Patani, Mr Timi Tonye, praised
Okowa for the way he has shown understanding of the affairs of the state.
In another development, the House at its plenary, slammed a three-month suspension on Mrs Pat Ajudua, members representing Oshimili North and Mr Johnson Erijo, member representing Isoko South II constituency for alleged desecration of the hallowed chamber.
Moving the motion on the floor of the House, Majority leader, Chief Tim Owhefere, Isoko North, said that the sanctity of the House must be respected at all times.
