My name is Tola, I have worked hard for all I’ve got, I am a chartered accountant and I work with one of the top Multi-national auditing firms in the world. It’s obvious I earn a six figure and yes I drive a 4matic. Oh, I forgot to say, I’m a ladyJ.

So I was on my way to work this morning and I got a call from my mum, I managed to receive it using my earpiece, just can’t afford to get stopped by these Road Safety people again. So yes, the call came in from my mum. You know how mothers are, I already knew what she had in her mind, she said and I quote, ‘Good morning, my daughter, bawoniise? (how is work?), your birthday is in a few days o!,you are not getting any younger my daughter, when are you bringing one home?’ you should know what she’s referring to as ‘one’. She just can’t wait to meet my fiancé. I just twisted everything for her just to find a way to be done with the call ASAP. After the call, I thought through all she said for the first time, I realized I wasn’t getting any younger. I said to myself, ‘Why hasn’t this Kunle proposed after all these years? Or is it because I mistakenly added too much salt to the rice I cooked for him last Sunday?’ My mind kept wilding out.

Moving forward, it’s 7am on a Saturday, my phone’s battery was drained before I woke up. Yes, it’s my birthday, my friends & families have been texting/calling to wish me happy birthday obviously, I later plugged my phone to charge and went to get something to eat. Kunle’s call came in when I stepped back into the room, he’s called me over 10 times. He told me he’s coming to pick me up by 9am so we can go out. After the call, I walked back into the kitchen saying to myself, ‘e no fit pass mall wey this yeye boy wan carry me go like that o’.

Kunle and I finally got to where he had planned out, I saw ‘#WTF’ at the entrance and I was like ‘What the f*ck is this place?’. Lo and behold, we went in, it was a Cake Fair, the environment was so beautiful, it had a good view because it was an open roof space, there were comedians, there was music, cocktails, celebrities, top entrepreneurs and of course plenty of cakes in different flavours to eat. It was simply amazing. Kunle blew my mind with this. Mehn!!, I couldn’t stop eating cakes, the amazing thing was, there were cakes for people like me who would like to watch my weight. I even managed to win a 12 inch chocolate cake giveaway at the event. Some hours into the event, I had no idea where Kunle was, then suddenly, a guitarist came closer to me singing a birthday love song, then came Kunle with a big box in his hand, obviously, it’s too big for a ring, he then knelt down in front of me and then opened the box, I screamed, OMG!, it was a cake that looked like a ring, then he collected my cocktail, drank it till ¼ of the glass was left and he removed a ring from the glass, I broke into joyful tears, I couldn’t wait for him to finish the question before I said ‘YES’.

This Cake Fair was the first of it’s type and I’m definitely not missing the next one. The Cake Fair name was titled WaraCake Tasting Fair ‘#WTF2015’ . I got to know WaraCake is Nigeria’s largest cake marketplace. They also announced the next fair would come up October 17th 2015. I heard Ajebutter22 will also be in attendance. I rushed to register for the next fair at WTF2015 Official Site  and got my ticket emailed to me after I paid #2,000. A few months down the line, Kunle and I got married and yes we ordered our wedding cake online at Wara Cake Official Site. I also got a cake for my mum’s birthday in Abuja. I signed up for their newsletter at Wara  Cake News and they also followed them on social media @waracake. #WTF2015 is the place to be on
